Damaris achieved her bachelor's degree in Psychology from South University in Palm Beach, Florida. As Director of Operations, Ms. Gonzalez oversees the administrative office and is also the first point of contact as intake coordinator when clients admit into the program. “I have witnessed family and friends, throughout my life, struggle with addiction, and that was what attracted me to the industry.” Ms. Gonzalez plans to further her education and become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor so that she may continue to work with and have a positive impact on those who need it most. “I do not believe in giving your past decisions the power over who you are in the future. I believe that anyone can achieve their goals if they give it their all.”

Amina is a mother of three beautiful and energetic children and enjoys being a football mom on the weekends! Amina’s responsibilities have included recruitment and staffing, benefits, classification and compensation, talent development, employee relations, career services, and payroll. She oversaw the creation of human resources systems, and implemented six major IT systems in five years, upgrading from heavily paper-driven processes to bringing tools and resources to the desktop and mobile devices of employees and managers. She has successfully worked in the health care and psychiatric industries. Her work in designing systems and practices includes implementation with significant levels of coaching and training at all levels of the organization. Amina has incorporated her skills into the Legacy Healing Center family and is passionate about continuing to create and implement programs that enhance productivity and encourage employee morale.

Michael attended the University of Rhode Island where he studied communication. His addiction started in his early teen years and as it progressed, he was eventually stripped of everything. Moving to Florida and having to restart he realized the only way out was through God and the twelve steps of A.A. His passion for helping others stems from his own struggles. He has worked in the addiction field for several years. As President of Business Development, he develops relationships in the community along with other substance abuse facilities nationwide. Michael believes a person finds his or her true self through struggle and overcoming life’s obstacles.

- [Cody Perez](https://legacyhealingnj.com/?p=35375): Mr. Perez is a Florida Board Certified Recovery Support Specialist serving as the Executive Director of Legacy Healing Center. Cody’s drive and passion for helping others can be attributed to living through and surviving a disease we strive to overcome; Addiction. “I tried several times to get clean and sober, but nothing ever worked until I found God and surrendered to this process. Everybody has a chance to become successful and nobody should be left behind.” Having been an addict for nearly 10 years, Mr. Perez was no stranger to the recovery program, but in April 2011 something changed. He accepted God was in control leading him down the path he needed to take but it was up to Cody to take the right path when he came to that inevitable fork in the road. April 2011 was the last time he walked into recovery needing help to get clean. Now his fight is to help others find that path and lead them to success the way he was led, with support and God on his side. It is through this strength, courage, and passion that Cody is enrolled in school to become a Certified Addiction Counselor and become a Nationally Certified Recovery Support Specialist. No one said the fight would be easy, but it is possible.

Waking up one morning feeling sick and tired, she went to treatment hoping things would get better while giving herself the opportunity to learn her true power. Christina has been sober for six years now and is raising four beautiful daughters in a life of recovery. She started working at Legacy Healing Center as a Behavioral Health Technician five years ago and grew within the company to case management and now works as the Program Director. Christina is also a Certified Life Coach. She is blessed with the opportunity to help others struggling with addiction and provides all she can to help.
- [David Levin](https://legacyhealingnj.com/?p=35370): Mr. Levin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addiction Professional, Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Certified Mental Health Professional, Certified Daring Way Facilitator, and Certified Rising Strong Facilitator. Mr. Levin graduated Summa Cum Laude from Florida Atlantic University in 2004. While at FAU, Mr. Levin completed an internship at The House of Hope, helping dually diagnosed patients released from jail or prison reintegrate into society. Academic excellence continued as Mr. Levin received his master’s degree from Barry University with a perfect 4.0 GPA. While at Barry, Mr. Levin completed an internship at the Victim Services Center of Miami, where he was trained in Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR), and assisted individuals afflicted with post-traumatic stress disorder to better cope with their symptoms. Upon commencement from Barry University in 2005, Mr. Levin began his mission of fighting the disease of addiction. Mr. Levin has spent the past 15 years working in residential substance abuse treatment in South Florida.

In addition, she organizes and hosts some of the largest recovery events in the Dayton area and prides herself on bringing organizations from across the state together for the same goal - to change as many lives as possible. Kristy is a proud native of the East End of Cincinnati, OH, and currently resides with her son Noah and Fiancé Matthew. Kristy's passion for Health and Human services stems from her own recovery experience and the life-affirming value it imbued. Her addiction battles began young and lasted parts of two decades before finally getting the treatment needed that inspired this path. Kristy's journey to sobriety came to fruition in southern California with the help of God and AA. - [Dylan Sullivan](https://legacyhealingnj.com/?p=35342): My name is Dylan Sullivan and I'm currently a Primary Therapist at at Legacy Healing Center In Cincinnati OH. I also recently graduated with my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberland's in Williamsburg, KY and was lucky enough to receive my Licensed Professional Counselor Licensure from the State of Ohio shortly thereafter. I am also currently certified in the State of Ohio as a Peer Recovery Supporter, due to my personal lived experience with recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. In addition to my counseling masters I hold a Masters in Pubic History and Museum Management from Northern Kentucky University, and a Bachelors in History from Ohio University.Looking at my education experience and seeing two history degrees, you might scratch your head a bit . Given the fact that I now work in substance use and mental health treatment a relevant question might be "why the career change? ". And the answer to that, is that while history has and always will be a love and passion of mine, some time ago I managed to stop a horrible addiction to drugs and alcohol with the help of some fantastic counselors and doctor at a rehabilitation program I attended. After several failed attempts at treatment, was lucky enough to have a moment of clarity, get clean, and take recovery seriously. Once I did that, I began interacting with other recovering addicts and found a sense of purpose that I had not known before. I also found that I was more passionate about helping these fellow recovering addicts than I ever was about history. Because of that passion, I made the decision to go back to school for my degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and make that passion my career.I've only been in the field since late 2020, but I've already had the opportunity to work with some truly amazing people in previous roles as a Peer Recovery Supporter, CDCA ,CT, and outreach associate. I'm beyond excited to continue my journey in the field as a therapist at Legacy ,and it is my hope I will be able to make a positive impact on the lives of the clients I work with just as the counselors who helped to save my life did for me.

Ms. Bauer received her Master of Social Work from the University of Cincinnati with a concentration in Mental Health. Laura is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in Ohio. She has experience working in community non-profits, outpatient counseling, and hospital settings. Laura has primarily served individuals who are dually managing mental health and substance abuse challenges. Laura uses skills from multiple therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused modalities, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. Laura's focus is practicing person-centered treatment to collaborate meaningfully with her clients to identify individual treatment needs and goals.

Aleya earned her AA in Addiction Studies from West LA College and is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC-I). She joined the clinical team at Legacy in 2023. As a case manager, Aleya is driven by a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of all of her clients. Her approach to case management is individualized care and advocacy. Aleya assists clients with legal issues, employment matters, and discharge planning; allowing clients to fully focus on their recovery journey. Aleya finds fulfillment seeing the growth in clients, reconnection with their families, and ability to reach their full potential. In her free time, Aleya enjoys fishing, making music, watching sports, and spending time with her loved ones.

She started as a BHT, and worked her way up to Clinical Coordinator before joining Legacy Healing California as our Assistant Program Director in 2023.
